Today I loaded a roll of 120 film into my Yashica 12 (TLR). The last time was almost 3 years ago before my son was born, I guess.
It is always a special feeling when loading a film into a manual camera. Slowly putting the film into the slot, making sure it moves when you advance the film, seeing the number jumps to 1, then 2, 3 after each shot. Well, a ritual to slow you down…
With the convenience of camera phone, it makes me lazy to bring a film camera along. I loaded a roll of Kodak Portra 400 into my Olympus OM1 and finished it almost after 6 months! Another reason is that my son usually wants me to use digital camera instead, so that he can see the pictures instantly.
Anyway, here are the results. And yes, I’m still taking photos – just different focus.
